Model Predictive Control Based on Quasi-Z Source Modular Multilevel Converter

摘要: 针对准Z源模块化多电平换流器在使用传统载波叠层调制时,控制结构复杂、直流链电压的波动较大、交流输出电能质量较差及动态响应速度缓慢的问题,提出一种适用于准Z 源模块化多电平换流器的模型预测控制策略。根据直流链电压构建输出电压电平的控制集合,预测输出电流,无需每个子模块设置一个脉宽调制发生器;同时,分析了准Z源网络电感电流、电容电压的数学模型,设计了电感电流、电容电压与交流输出电流的代价函数,以此抑制直流链电压的波动、改善输出电压的电能质量。在MATLAB/SIMULINK仿真平台上验证了所提控制方式的有效性和可行性。

Abstract: In order to solve the problems of complex control structure, large fluctuation of DC-link voltage, poor AC output power quality and slow dynamic response when traditional carrier stack phase-disposition pulse width modulation (PD-PWM) is used in quasi-Z source modular multilevel converter (qZ-MMC), a model predictive control (MPC) for qZ-MMC is proposed in this paper. The control set of output voltage level is constructed according to the DC-link voltage, so as to predict the output current, without setting a PWM generator for each sub-module. At the same time, the mathematical model of inductor current and capacitor voltage of quasi-Z source network is analyzed, and the cost function of inductor current, capacitor voltage and AC output current is designed, so as to suppress the fluctuation of DC-link voltage and improve the power quality of output voltage. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed control method are verified on MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation platform.
